Biovet visited Bangladesh to participate in the International Poultry Seminar and Show 2019

A Biovet S.A. laboratories’ team, formed by sales agent Ferran Brull and Dr. David Díez, travelled to Dhaka, Bangladesh, to attend the International Poultry Seminar and Show 2019. Such event was organized by the representatives of the World Poultry Science Association in the Asian country (WPSA- BB).

The meeting scheduled between March 5th and 9th was composed of an initial seminar, where lectures and poster presentations were held, followed by a fair in which the most important poultry producers and distributors present in the country participated.

International seminar on poultry farming

The International Poultry Seminar, held between March 5th and 6th at the Regency Hotel in Dhaka, attracted a high number of visitors. In the afternoon, participants could attend to a poster session, in which Biovet exhibited an explanatory poster about the use and composition of its natural preservative, Alquermold Natural.

This additive of botanical origin, with bactericidal and fungicidal properties, can also be used as an intestinal biocide. Its rebalancing action of the intestinal flora makes it a recommended product to mitigate the appearance of necrotic enteritis in avian production.

Sales agent Ferran Brull together with representatives of Doctor’s Agro-vet Ltd., Biovet’s official distributor in the country, answered all related questions formulated by visitors about this natural preservative .

International poultry fair

Between March 7th and 9th, all poultry producers and distributors of products for animal health and nutrition that attended the conferences could also participate at the following International Poultry Show. The event took place at the International Convention City Bashundhara, also located in the Bangladeshi capital.

Doctor’s Agro-vet Ltd. had its own stand and its sales representatives had the support of Biovet’s team to respond to all information requests about Biovet’s product range available in the Asian country.

The event counted on the presence of companies specialized in each of the processes involved in avian production. Besides Biovet participation within the section of natural additives for animal health and nutrition, attendees could also visit companies’ stands related to poultry breeding and genetics, as well as equipment manufacturers for farm management, poultry health and hygiene or waste management, among others.

Visits to poultry farming companies and feed mills in Bangladesh

Parallel to the participation in the annual edition of the International Poultry Seminar and Show, Dr. David Díez and Ferran Brull visited some of the most important poultry farms and feed mills in Bangladesh.

They presented the mycotoxin-binder Alquerfeed Antitox , the hepatic conditioner with antioxidant properties Alquernat Livol, and provided an in depth explanation about the effects of combining the natural preservative Alquermold Natural and the intestinal conditioner Alquernat Nebsui as an alternative to chemical additives in antibiotic-free poultry production.

It  has been already mentioned that the use of a natural preservative is highly recommended to reduce mycotoxin feed contamination, which may cause necrotic enteritis – a pathology with a high degree of incidence in the Asian country.  Biovet sales team also gave special importance to the benefits of using an intestinal optimizer, such as Alquernat Zycox, for the boosting of the gastrointestinal immune system. This natural additive is specifically designed to mitigate the outbreak of avian coccidiosis, a pathology that also has a high prevalence in Bangladesh.
