Mision and vision

From farm to the lab and from lab to the farm

We offer a wide catalog for poultry, pigs, ruminants and aquaculture. Biovet’s catalogue has been entirely developed by our R&D team, and it is based on the observations made in farms. Our technicians visit them periodically to find out main pathologies in order to transfer them to the lab and create effective solutions.

We focus on offering solutions to improve the main pathologies, considering the effects on health and its impact on productivity and economic performance.

Creating health, improving efficiency

Once in the lab, our R&D team works to apply its scientific knowledge and develop products aimed at improving health and food safety. Throughout the history of Biovet, our research team has designed additives of great utility for poultry and swine farms. Amongst them, the patent of the molecule Silicoglycidol, which led to the development of the mycotoxin binder Alquerfeed Antitox; the research and development of pronutrient line based on natural extracts that reduce the use of chemical additives (Alquernat line); and the development of Alquermold Natural, with cimenol ring, as a preservative for animal nutrition.

Product development is carried out jointly with universities around the world, where we carry out in vitro and in vivo trials. In addition, each and every new product is tested with field trials on farms, carried out with the collaboration of customers, distributors and veterinary institutions.

We only market what we have manufactured, and we only manufacture what we have researched

Biovet’s catalogue has been distributed by our veterinary team, who provide product advice to our distributors and customers located in South and Central America, North America, Europe, Asia, Middle East and Africa. We offer complete guidance on zootechnical programs for different breeding stages, adapting them to customers and geographical needs. Nowadays, Biovet presents a catalogue that covers most of the needs in poultry, swine, ruminants, aquaculture and feedmill industry.

For more than 40 years, Biovet S.A. has worked in favor of productivity and animal welfare offering services such as: product development, additive manufacturing, feed formulation service, training and consulting, zootechnical services, analytical services, microbiological analysis and mycotoxin analysis service.

Partners

Biovet S.A. is a company based on research and focused on its constant improvement and the development of new products. From very beginning, 35 years ago, the research started on the farm and with the results obtained, the appropriate products were developed in the laboratory.

Nowadays, farms still have a fundamental role in our research, but in vitro tests are increasingly relevant to reach the field with innovative ideas and clear hypotheses.

In order to carry out in vitro tests, Biovet S.A. has signed collaboration agreements with several universities in Europe, the United States and Asia.

In the case of very specific studies and for the development of innovative molecules, Biovet S.A. works with biotechnological research institutes.
