Effect of using Alquernat Nebsui on productive parametres and mortality in broilers
INTRODUCTION
The aim of this trial, performed in Costa Rica in 2018, was to determinate the activity of Alquernat Nebsui, intestinal conditioner pronutrients, on productive parametres and mortality, regarding to a control group treated with Antibiotic Growth Promoters (AGPs) in Cobb broilers.
METHODOLOGY
Animals were separated in 2 batches, first one was considered as control, fed with a basal diet and BMD (antibiotic growth promoter), and the second was the batch combining basal diet and pronutrients.
Weight, feed intake, feed conversion rate and adjusted conversion, and cumulated mortality were controlled weekly.
RESULTS
As observed in the chart below, there were differences in favour of pronutrients group, in relation to main productive parametres, regarding to the control group treated with BMD, as intestinal conditioner made animals to reach the same weight in less time, and because of that, pronutrients group had better efficiency index.
CONCLUSIONS
Intestinal conditioner pronutrients had a beneficial effect on productive parametres with regard to antibiotic growth promoters.
These intestinal conditioner pronutrients manufatured by Biovet S.A, are commercially available under the name of Alquernat Nebsui.
