More than 30 representatives of the pig and poultry sectors from Tacna (Peru) attended the conference presented in the National Service of Agrarian Health (SENASA, by its initials in Spanish- Servicio Nacional de Sanidad Agraria), by Veterinary Dr, David Díez, representative of the Biovet technical team. The conference was focus in the mechanism of action of the pronutrientes and its benefits in the animal production.

“Pronutrients are essential molecules that are found in certain plants, which included in animal nutrition improve the physiology of the organism through an increase in the synthesis of functional proteins,” explained the Veterinary Dr.

NATURAL PRESERVATIVES

Likewise, the conference also addressed the natural preservative Alquermold Natural and its properties: “It is an intestinal microbicide that allows the control of pathogenic flora of the intestine, so that added to the feed helps to conserve its physical-chemical and nutritional properties. Also, to avoid the growth of pathogens, ” said Díez.

The effectiveness of this product lies “on the mechanism of action of the cimenol ring. It is a natural aromatic compound with preservative action, which is found in different plant extracts, in contact with the bacteria causes the immediate release of cellular content to the environment and, therefore, the bacterial cell dies.”

In addition, “it acts synergistically with citric acid, which facilitates the entry of cimenol into the bacterial or fungal cell. The product Alquermold Natural is based on the synergy of action of both components,” he concluded.

PATENTED MOLECULE

Finally, the representative of the technical team of Biovet reported the effects of the molecule Silicoglycidol (patented by Biovet) and its application in the feeding of poultry, swine and ruminants for the prevention of enteritis and poisonings (mycotoxicosis) by eating contaminated feed with  mycotoxins
