VIV Africa 2026: strengthening connections with Africa’s evolving animal production sector

Biovet S.A. has completed its second participation in VIV Africa, held in Kigali, Rwanda, where the company presented its natural solutions for animal health, nutrition and production efficiency to professionals from across the African continent and other international markets.

The 2026 edition welcomed an estimated 1,800 professional visitors from more than 60 countries, highlighting the increasingly international character of the event and the continued development of Africa’s poultry and animal production industries.

Throughout the exhibition, Biovet’s team held numerous conversations with producers, distributors, technical professionals and companies interested in solutions aimed at improving feed safety, animal performance and production efficiency.

Among the technologies generating particular interest were Alquerfeed Antitox and Alquerfeed Livtox, developed to help control the impact of mycotoxins on feed and animal performance. Visitors also showed strong interest in Alquermold Natural Plus, Biovet’s solution for the preservation of feed and cereals through its bactericidal and fungicidal activity.

Biovet’s pronutrient technology was another important focus during the event. This natural approach to supporting animal physiology attracted attention as a tool for promoting animal health, welfare and efficient production, while providing alternatives to antibiotic growth promoters and certain chemical solutions.

Beyond presenting its technologies, VIV Africa provided an important opportunity to better understand the changing needs of different African markets, reconnect with industry professionals and explore new possibilities for collaboration throughout the continent.

The growing professional and international presence at VIV Africa confirms the importance of Africa as an increasingly dynamic market for animal production. For Biovet, continuing to combine technology, scientific knowledge and natural solutions with local production needs will be essential to building long-term relationships in the region.

Innovation, collaboration and knowledge transfer will continue to play a key role in developing a more efficient and sustainable future for animal production in Africa.
