In the first week of September, Biovet’s technical sales advisor, Dr. Ibrahim Ouriachi, visited our Turkish distributor, Veravet, and its customers.
During the meetings, Biovet products with effects on poultry and aquaculture were presented.

The greatest interest in chicken farms was in the natural preservative with bactericidal and fungicidal activity (Alquermold Natural) and in Alquernat Zycox, for the prevention of coccidiosis, which is one of the most important diseases affecting the poultry industry worldwide, with great economic losses.

Alquernat Zycox, based on intestinal optimising pronutrients, has proven to be an effective tool in the fight against coccidia, surpassing the effect of other anticoccidial programmes, including coccidiostats. These natural molecules stimulate local immunity in the intestine, so that the digestive tract can cope with coccidia infestation, improving production parameters and reducing mortality.

Also presented were Alquernat Livol, the liver conditioner and optimizer, and Alquernat Yucca, as an intestinal regulator, natural deodorizer and preservative.

As for feed companies, customers showed interest in Alquerfeed Diatom, composed of activated diatomaceous earth. This product has an effect on the intestinal transit of animals, as it slows it down to increase the retention time of feed in the digestive tract. In this way, contact with digestive enzymes and intestinal microvilli responsible for nutrient absorption is increased, generating a positive effect on growth rate, feed efficiency and animal welfare.
