In May 2025, a technical team from Biovet S.A. visited Belgrade (Serbia) to deliver a technical session to veterinarians and professionals in the livestock sector in South-Eastern Europe. The event was organised in collaboration with our distributor in the region.

The session focused on the control and management of coccidiosis through natural strategies. In particular, Biovet S.A. presented the mechanism of action and field results of Alquernat Zycox, a product based on pronutrients designed to improve intestinal health and productivity in animal production.

Alquernat Zycox optimises the intestinal mucosa by enhancing the local immune response in the digestive tract. This allows the intestinal immune system to interrupt the reproductive cycle of coccidia, preventing these parasites from causing mucosal damage. In aquaculture, Alquernat Zycox has also shown efficacy against protozoan infestations and can replace or complement the use of coccidiostats or anticoccidial vaccines.
