Biovet S.A. took part for the first time in the 54th edition of FierAvicola, one of the most important poultry industry trade fairs in Europe, held from 6 to 8 May 2025 at the Rimini Expo Centre (Italy). The event brought together professionals, companies and experts from across the poultry production chain in a setting focused on the exchange of knowledge and innovative solutions. Italy, being the EU country with the highest number of laying hens, represents a strategic market for Biovet.

Throughout the three-day event, the Biovet team held meetings with producers, technicians, and distributors, during which the key challenges of the Italian poultry sector were discussed. The most frequently addressed topics were gut health, sustainability, the reduction of antibiotic use and egg quality. This first participation served to strengthen commercial relationships, reinforce our presence in the European market, and consolidate collaboration with our local distributor.

Among the products presented, several natural solutions developed by Biovet stood out:

1. Alquerfeed Antitox: a broad-spectrum mycotoxin binder based on Silicoglycidol, the first molecule of its kind worldwide, patented by Biovet S.A. in 1988. Its unique feature is that it does not adsorb beneficial nutrients from the feed.
2. Alquerfeed Diatom: formulated with specially selected diatoms for their ability to slow intestinal transit, thereby helping maintain productive performance, maximise dietary nutrient absorption, and support animal welfare.
3. Alquernat Coneb: a combination of pronutrients that enhance the physiological and immune response against coccidiosis by disrupting its infectious cycle. The product also promotes the regeneration of enterocytes and strengthens the tight junctions between them, improving nutrient absorption in the digestive tract.
4. Alquerfeed Layers: a blend of pronutrients designed for laying hens, aimed at improving mineral absorption and eggshell quality. This product is also recommended during periods of heat stress.
