Biovet S.A. research awards ceremony 2017

The Scientific University of the South (UCSUR-Peru), Adivet (Peru) and INPSAS (Colombia) received the Biovet 2018 Awards in the categories of Research, Commercial Development and Technical Development, respectively. The awards ceremony was held at the closing ceremony of the XXXI International Biovet Symposium that took place in Tarragona from May 26 to 29. These awards are intended to disseminate the latest research in veterinary medicine and commercial actions related to animal health and feeding.

The Scientific University of the South (UCSUR-Peru) won the prize for research, for its scientific research work related to Biovet products produced during the last year. Specifically, for the work related to the study of infectious diseases in tilapia and for the trials carried out on tilapia of the product based on pronutrients Alquernat Nebsui and on the effect of the preservative Alquermold Natural on broilers challenged with Clostridium perfringens, in other words, on the treatment and prevention of necrotic enteritis in broilers. The rector of the UCSUR, Dr. Manuel Efrain Rosemberg, received the award on behalf of the institution.

The manager of Adivet (Peru), Hugo Patiño, received the Commercial Development award in recognition of his commercial and technological work, for the expansion of Biovet’s innovative products in the Peruvian market.

Finally, the director of INPSAS (Colombia), Alfonso Díaz, received the award for the Technical Development of the product, for the numerous in vivo technical analyzes carried out to evaluate the results of the natural products focused on the improvement of the physiological parameters of the animals of farm.

The award ceremony was the final culmination of the XXXI International Biovet Symposium that took place in Tarragona. During the conference, lectures were presented by professors and experts from several countries such as: Manuel Efrain Rosemberg and Alfredo Rubén Palomino, from UCSUR; Hugo Ramírez (Iowa State University); Alfonso Díaz and William Ruiz (INPSAS-Colombia), as well as Drs. Cristina Latasa and Maria Peñas, from Recombina and the University of Navarra (Spain); The event also featured dissertations by the technical team of Biovet and Marta Dompablo (from the journal specialized in veterinary medicine www.veterinariadigital.com).
