Last Thursday, September 28th, Biovet S.A. received the Scientific Innovation and Internationalization Award by the Chamber of Commerce of Tarragona, which recognized Biovet’s work towards research and development.

Biovet S.A.’s president, Dr. Jaime Borrell, received the award given by Mr. Josep Lluís Bonet, president of the Spanish Chamber; Mr. Andreu Suriol, president of Tarragona’s Chamber, and Mr. Sergi Vives also attended the event, along with other awarded companies of the area.

In his speech, Dr. Jaime Borrell was grateful for the award and highlighted the need for inversion in research and development of products designed to satisfy the market’s needs. Onlyinnovative and effective products lead to the internationalization of a company.

Since its foundation, in 1984, Biovet’s products have been the results of working in the farms. This is a key factor to find the main problems affecting animal health and production. Once these issues are determined, they are brought to the laboratory to develop personalized products that improve and prevent the main pathologies, considering their effects of health and their impact on productivity and economic performance.

Nowadays, Biovet has a broad catalogue of products for poultry, pig farming and aquaculture, and is present in more than 50 countries.
