Biovet S.A. at VIV MEA 2023: At the forefront of promoting global food safety and efficiency

Biovet S.A. participated with great success in the leading livestock trade show in the Middle East and Africa, the fourth edition of VIV MEA, which took place between 20 and 22 November 2023 at the National Exhibition Centre in Abu Dhabi. With 10,080 visitors from 113 countries and 500 exhibitors from 50 countries, the event had a positive impact on the livestock and agri-food industry both regionally and globally.

Biovet S.A., as a manufacturer of natural additives, presented its latest products and technologies at its stand, where our technical-commercial team attended visitors, customers and distributors from Bangladesh, Nepal, India, Iran, Egypt, Pakistan, and the Arab Emirates, among others.

Natural additives to improve animal welfare and economic performance on farms

Most queries were related to intestinal welfare in poultry and cattle, which is key to ensuring food safety.

Our team highlighted the benefits of Alquermold Natural, which works as a natural preservative for feed and as an effective antimicrobial against fungi and pathogenic bacteria present in the digestive tract, where it eliminates microorganisms such as E. coli, Salmonella and Clostridium, and promotes the balance of the intestinal microbiota.

Visitors were also interested in Alquerfeed Antitox, the Silicoglycidol-based mycotoxin binder designed to selectively bind only mycotoxins while not interacting with other dietary components such as vitamins and amino acids. It is an effective tool to significantly reduce the excretion of aflatoxin M1 in milk in different ruminant species.

Looking ahead, VIV MEA will return from 25-27 November 2025 as the main business platform for the poultry and livestock industry of the region.
