Biovet S.A. participates in the 47th Mycotoxin Workshop in Berlin

Biovet S.A. participated in the 47th Mycotoxin Workshop, held from 1 to 3 June 2026 in Berlin, Germany, an international reference event for researchers, companies and professionals specialised in the study, control and management of mycotoxins.

47th Mycotoxin Workshop

The event, organised by the Society for Mycotoxin Research in collaboration with the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR), took place at the BfR facilities in Berlin. The Mycotoxin Workshop is considered one of the oldest and most established scientific meetings worldwide in this field, with a history dating back to scientific meetings first held in Germany in 1979 and, since 1997, consolidated as an annual European event focused on mycotoxin research.

During this edition, the scientific programme addressed key topics such as the occurrence and management of mycotoxins, fungal biology and ecology, toxicology, biomonitoring, analytical techniques and remediation and mitigation strategies. The 2026 edition also included content related to data science, omics and artificial intelligence, reflecting the evolution of applied research in this field.

The work focused on the in vitro evaluation of the binding capacity of Silicoglycidol, a technology developed for mycotoxin adsorption under simulated gastrointestinal conditions in broiler chickens. This line of research forms part of Biovet’s commitment to developing innovative and effective solutions to improve feed safety, intestinal health and productive performance in animal production.

Biovet’s participation in this event provided an opportunity to share scientific knowledge with international specialists and strengthen the company’s presence in high-value technical forums, where applied research and innovation play a key role in the evolution of the sector.

Biovet S.A. continues to invest in research, the development of proprietary technologies and participation in international scientific forums as key pillars for providing natural, safe and effective solutions to the current challenges of animal nutrition and health.
