In September, the technical team of Biovet S.A. travelled to Turkey and Georgia to carry out technical and commercial consultancy.

In the different meetings, the main poultry production and feed mill companies were visited. Technical conferences were also organized, where the solutions of Biovet S.A. for the main challenges faced by producers in these countries were presented.

The conferences were in charge of Dr. Ekaitz Maguregui, veterinarian at Biovet S.A., and they started with a presentation about the most frequent pathologies seen on farms:

In the case of broilers, coccidiosis and digestive problems of bacterial origin (E. coli, Salmonella, Clostridiosis…) were highlighted as the main problems that affect productivity. Dr. Maguregui explained those pathologies and presented Alquernat Zycox, for the prevention of coccidiosis, and Alquermold Natural, for the control of digestive dysbiosis, as effective solutions to improve the intestinal welfare of animals and maintain and improve the productive parameters.

In the case of laying hens, problems related to smaller egg size and poor shell quality were identified, for which the use of Alquernat Nebsui was recommended, based on intestinal conditioner pronutrients, which improves the absorption of calcium and other nutrients at the digestive level, improving the external and internal quality of the egg.

During this visit, as usual, the technical staff of Biovet S.A. focused on working together with producers in order to detect those pathologies that most affect farms in the region. In this way, the most appropriate solutions were presented to help them improve economic performance and, consequently, help them overcome the current context of crisis marked by sharp rises in the price of raw materials and logistics.
