Conference on avian pathology in Romania

The Veterinary Society of Poultry Pathologists of Romania has held the quarterly meeting in December at the Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Forestry “Gheorghe Ionescu” where Dr Marculescu, Ristea and Borrell have presented the conference titled: “Top 10 of the world’s poultry pathology”.

At the conference have been discussed the main processes that affect the avian health and the economics of poultry companies such as: necrotic enteritis, mycosis, mycotoxicosis, avian infectious toxic hepatoenteritis, infectious bronchitis, diseases caused by poor quality of fat, lack of pronutrients, lack of biotin, coccidiosis and burns due to the use of formaldehyde as salmonicide in food. The event was complemented with data on nutritional and management measures that allow reducing the negative impact of these processes.
