Arequipa (Peru) hosts a conference focused on natural additives in animal feed presended by Biovet

The animal feed was the protagonist of the conference provided by Dr. Veterinario and representative of the technical team of Biovet, David Díez, in Arequipa (Peru), in front of thirty producers and distributors of the pig and poultry sectors of the region. In the event main subjects – the benefits of natural additives in animal feed were explained, also the effect of pronutrients, substances from natural extracts, that improve animal physiology and, therefore, their well-being and productive parameters.

The pronutrients are commercialized in the products of the Alquernat line, developed by Biovet, which provide active biomolecules, induce the synthesis of functional proteins that improve organic functioning. In response to a question from the audience on the effects of pronutrientes, Díez emphasized that “their benefits like natural substances that act without having a pharmacological effect, confer great properties to them to improve the health and the efficiency in the exploitations”.

Likewise, the veterinarian highlighted the properties of Alquerfeed Antitox, against mycotoxins: “It prevents enteritis and mycotoxicosis and is effective in birds, swine and ruminants. In addition, it does not adsorb other products such as vitamins, enzymes or drugs. Its effectiveness derives from its main component: silicoglycidol.

It is the first world patent for a mycotoxin binder. “This molecule has an optimized structure of mycotoxin adsorption and is effective in different conditions of the digestive tract,” said Veterinary Dr. .

Finally, the speech concluded with an explanation of the natural preservative, Alquermold Natural, and its qualities as an intestinal microbicide, through an exhibition of the main digestive pathologies in animals and how they can be prevented and treated with mentioned preservative. Among others, he highlighted the mycoses (which are produced by fungi) such as candidiasis; colibacillosis (caused by the bacterium Escherichia coli); Necrotic enteritis or clostridium (caused by the bacterium Clostridium perfringens), etc.
