Dr. Felipe Mendy, IFTA USA veterinarian, presented a conference at both congresses that addressed the efficacy of Alquernat Coneb and Alquermold Natural for the natural control of Eimeria sp and Clostrdium perfringens.
Biovet S.A. will present, in online format, the poster ‘Natural control of Clostridium perfringens in broilers with cimenol ring’ at the World Poultry Congress, which will be held from August 7 to 11 in Paris. This year the event will be held in a hybrid way, and it will be possible to participate in face-to-face format (Palais de Congrès) or online.
In July, Biovet S.A. and IFTA USA will participate in the Poultry Science Association (PSA) annual meeting, to be held July 11-14, 2022, in San Antonio, Texas; and in the American Association of Avian Pathologists (AAAP) annual meeting, to be held from July 29 to August 2, 2022, in Philadelphia.
En semanas recientes, Biovet S.A. realizó dos ensayos con anillo cimenol para evaluar su efecto selectivo sobre la microflora intestinal y la sensibilidad de las bacterias patógenas y beneficiosas en aves y cerdos.
Biovet will be represented through its distributor Beijing Chengzhi Zhonghe Biotechnology Co. Ltd. at booth 163. Those interested will find information about Alquermold Natural and Alquernat Nebsui, both natural products developed and patented by Biovet S.A., for poultry, swine and aquaculture.
On March 15, 2021 Biovet S.A. presented a trial in the Western Poultry Disease Conference (WPDC) about the use of cimenol ring to control necrotic enteritis in experimentally infected broilers. The results demonstrated cimenol ring’s efficacy against Clostridium perfringens which makes it effective to control necrotic enteritis.
Alquermold Natural for the control of microbial contamination in animal products for human consumption
Necrotic enteritis is one of the most common diseases in poultry and causes economic losses worldwide. The ban of antibiotic growth promoters has made it a re-emerging disease. In addition, the disease appears on many occasions in the period prior to slaughter, when antibiotic treatment is limited due to the withdrawal period.
Biovet S.A. will participate in the annual meeting of the American Association of Avian Pathologist (AAAP) 2020 to be held online July 30 – August 6. On this occasion, Dr. David Diez, veterinarian of Biovet S.A., will present a trial about the use of the natural antimicrobial, Alquermold Natural, for the prevention of necrotic enteritis in broilers.
