Academic conference: The balance of the microbiota and its importance in organic functioning

The conference will be held at the Peruvian Academy of Veterinary Sciences on Monday, September 12

Dr. David Diez will present the mechanism by which the microorganisms that make up the microbiota facilitate the absorption of nutrients from feed (sentinel proteins), prevent the installation of harmful flora and parasites (bacteriocins) and produce necessary nutrients (vitamins), among other actions.

In the second part, Dr. Diez will expose how some botanical molecules favor the balance of the microbiota and can reverse the dysbiosis caused by the presence of contamination in feed, the massive use of antibiotics or stress.

Finally, in the conclusions, the enhancements in the productive parameters derived from the improvement of the intestinal welfare obtained by the balance of the microbiota will be quantified.

This academic session will be closed by the president of the APCV, Dr. Felipe Lobatón.
