A technical and commercial team from Biovet, accompanied by the country’s distributor, visited poultry and swine farms in Ukraine in March. During the stay, Biovet veterinarians carried out necropsies in poultry and pig farms, and explained the functioning of mycotoxin binders, preservatives and both intestinal conditioning and immunostimulant pronutrients.

Accordingly, the Biovet Dr. veterinary, Elvira Cano pointed out  that the mycotoxin binder Alquerfeed Antitox, which is composed of the patented molecule Silicoglycidol, “is effective in the prevention of enteritis and poisoning by ingestion of food contaminated by mycotoxins, such and as shown by the numerous field studies carried out. ” She also explained that its advantages include that “it does not adsorb in its structure other products such as vitamins, enzymes or drugs and can be used in low doses (0.5 kg / tm.), because it has a high adsorption surface.”

On the other hand, Mr. Oleg Rokhlin emphasized the properties of the bactericidal and fungicidal preservative for raw materials and composite feed, Alquermold Natural. In this regard, he mentioned: “its incorporation into drinking water allows the control of the main pathogenic colonizing microorganisms of the intestine, such as Salmonella, E. coli, Clostridium, Staphylococcus, fungi and yeasts.

PRONUTRIENTS

In addition, during the visits there were also explained  the function of pronutrientes: micro-ingredients of natural origin, included in the formulation of food in relatively small quantities, with the mission both to improve the physiology and intrinsic nutritional value and to avoid the presence of pathogens. Specifically, the results of several trials showing the advantage of using both immunostimulant pronutrients (increase the immune response), asintestinal conditioning pronutrients, were shown.

Mr. Rokhlin  explained “intestinal conditioning pronutrients, on the one hand, maintain both the physiological state of the digestive tract and its digestive function, as well as the absorption of nutrients from food, and on the other hand, avoid the fixation of pathogenic bacteria to enterocytes. In his opinion “they are an effective alternative of the Growth Promoter Antibiotics, since they do not alter the flora, nor do they require suppression time”.
