The annual meeting represents a significant hub to address the challenges of the growing demand for livestock products, which is projected to grow by 70 percent by 2050.<\/p>\n<p>Biovet&#8217;s representative in China, Mr. Liang Lei, accompanied <em>Beijing Chengzhi Zhonghe<\/em> during the event, offering commercial and technical support.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-14195 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/biovet-alquermes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/GASL_2023-1-scaled-e1698655782527.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Food security<\/strong> and <strong>human and animal health<\/strong> formed a central part of the event, during which the distributor\u2019s representative gave a lecture on the <strong>\u201cEffects of Natural Plant Extracts on Intestinal Health of Poultry\u201d<\/strong>, highlighting the remarkable results of the natural antimicrobial <a href=\"https:\/\/biovet-alquermes.com\/en\/producto\/alquermold-natural-p-and-l\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alquermold Natural<\/a>, developed by <strong>Biovet S.A.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Alquermold Natural: a key tool for food security<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The lecture was part of the <strong>&#8220;Food and Nutrition Security&#8221;<\/strong> section, which was dedicated to exploring how to achieve sustainable development in the Chinese livestock industry to provide safe and healthy food to the growing population while protecting and restoring the ecosystem.<\/p>\n<p>At Biovet, we have been working for many years on <strong>supporting food supply chain security<\/strong> and sustainability while ensuring the quality of feed destined for animal consumption. Furthermore, we aim to reduce the globally growing antibiotic resistance in animals and humans with our natural products. <strong>Alquermold Natural<\/strong>, which was presented during the GASL MSP Meeting 2023, is a remarkable example of <strong>our natural alternatives that can replace different chemicals and has an important role to play in food safety.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-14194 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/biovet-alquermes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Biovet_GASL-1-scaled-e1698655800329.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"857\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Alquermold Natural works as a feed and raw material preservative and prevents outbreaks of digestive diseases caused by pathogenic micro-organisms without affecting beneficial microflora, such as Lactobacillus. Various <a href=\"https:\/\/www.veterinariadigital.com\/en\/noticias\/improving-profitability-performance-and-welfare-with-natural-additives-in-animal-production\/\">results<\/a> show that the product can <strong>improve the productive parameters<\/strong> and <strong>reduce the mortality rate on farms <\/strong>while reducing the incidence of lesions usually caused by various bacteria, such as Clostridium perfringens in the intestine.
