Last week a veterinary team from Biovet S.A.<\/strong> participated in technical-commercial visits in Bolivia<\/strong>. They visited the main poultry producers and organised meetings with the Poultry Farmers Association of Santa Cruz (ADA<\/a><\/strong>). During the meetings the solutions of Biovet S.A.<\/strong> for the main challenges faced by producers in the area were presented.<\/p>\n

Climate and pathologies in Bolivia<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Bolivia has a great geographic and climatological diversity: the predominant climates are subtropical and tropical savannah, characterised by mild winters as well as hot and humid summers.<\/p>\n

Due to environmental factors – high temperatures and humidity<\/strong> – mycotoxin contamination of raw materials and feed for livestock production is one of the most serious problems in this area. Besides pathologies caused by the presence of mycotoxins<\/strong>, others such as necrotic enteritis<\/strong>, present a serious threat to the health and production of poultry and other livestock.<\/p>\n

For this reason, the meetings in Bolivia focused on solutions for binding mycotoxins, feed preservation, and prevention of necrotic enteritis.<\/p>\n

Solutions to improve poultry production<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The veterinary technical team of Biovet S.A. outlined the benefits of the Silicoglycidol<\/a> <\/strong>molecule, the first mycotoxin binder<\/strong> patented globally and marketed under the name Alquerfeed Antitox<\/a><\/strong> by Biovet S.A. Several trials have shown that Silicoglycidol is effective in preventing the negative effects of mycotoxins, with a positive impact on the economic performance of farms.<\/p>\n

To enhance food preservation<\/strong> and prevention of necrotic enteritis, they highlighted the broad spectrum of action of Alquermold Natural<\/a><\/strong>. It is a food preservative, and its microbicidal properties also allow it to be effective against fungi and pathogenic bacteria present in the digestive tract, where it eliminates microorganisms<\/strong> such as E. coli, Salmonella, and Clostridium<\/em> and promotes the balance of the intestinal microbiota.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
