The event will take place in <strong>Jacksonville<\/strong>, Florida, between <strong>11-14 June 2023<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Lecture on the effects of a natural microbiocide<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>In this edition, the technical representatives of Biovet S.A. will present the latest research on poultry welfare and food safety, by presenting a talk on the control of <em>Salmonella infantis<\/em>, the result of their recent research.<\/p>\n<p>The lecture titled the\u00a0<strong>\u201cEffect of the use of a natural microbiocide for the control of Salmonella Infantis loads in the gut, and to improve performance in broiler chickens\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0will be held on the\u00a0<strong>14th of June at 08:30<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Salmonella Infantis<\/em><\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>is one of the most common bacteria in poultry farms with the highest resistance to antibiotics. Furthermore, this pathogen represents a serious risk to public health, since it causes cross-contamination in slaughterhouses and meat processing plants, and thus can cause <strong>zoonotic disease<\/strong> in humans.<\/p>\n<p>To mitigate risk, it is essential to <strong>maintain prevention systems<\/strong> in poultry farms to avoid contamination of poultry products for human consumption.<\/p>\n<p>Recently, Biovet S.A. has developed a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/biovet-alquermes.com\/en\/linea-conservantes-en\/\">natural antimicrobial<\/a>\u00a0marketed under the name\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/biovet-alquermes.com\/en\/producto\/alquermold-si\/\"><strong>Alquermold SI<\/strong><\/a>.
