The congress will be held online from July 30 \u2013 August 6, 2020<\/h2>\n

Biovet S.A. will participate in the annual meeting of the American Association of Avian Pathologist (AAAP) 2020<\/strong> to be held online July 30 \u2013 August 6. On this occasion, Dr. David Diez, veterinarian of Biovet S.A., will present a trial about the use of the natural antimicrobial, Alquermold Natural, for the prevention of <\/strong>necrotic enteritis<\/strong><\/a> in broilers.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Specifically, the trial compared the results obtained in a control batch and a batch treated with Alquermold Natural, used as a preventative, and where the birds were infected with Clostirdium perfringens<\/em>, etiologic agent of necrotic enteritis.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Differences in the results were observed, both in productive parameters and in the lesions detected in the intestine:<\/p>\n

On one hand, an improvement of the productive parameters was observed in the batch treated with Alquermold Natural<\/strong>, especially the conversion rate, which improved by 3,93%, and the efficiency index with 84,2 more points. Lower mortality rate was also observed with Alquermold Natural.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, Alquermold Natural prevented<\/strong> the presence of lesions in the intestine, usually caused by Clostridium perfringens, <\/em><\/strong>since they were less severe in the batch treated with Alquermold Natural.<\/p>\n

With the results of this test it can be concluded that the Alquermold Natural<\/strong><\/a> is an effective alternative for the prevention of necrotic enteritis<\/strong>. It is a natural product manufactured by Biovet S.A<\/strong>. available in premix powder and oral solution. It acts as an intestinal biocide to promote the balance of the intestinal flora to prevent the growth of Salmonella, E. coli, Clostridium <\/em>and Staphylococcus.<\/em><\/p>\n

About AAAP 2020<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Due to the preventive measures for the prevention of COVID-19, this year the AAAP meeting will be held in an online format<\/strong> with live conferences and others that can be viewed on the platform for several days.
