Genes induced by the presence of an intestinal conditioner. <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Treatment of porcine enterocytes in vitro with an intestinal conditioner increases the expression of certain genes related to:<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><strong>CELL to CELL ADHESION<\/strong>: Intensification of expression of genes involved in production of intercellular binding proteins, such as adhesins, cadherins and cell signalling proteins (involved in the reinforcement of tight junctions) that <strong>decrease paracellular permeability.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>MOBILITY OF MICROVILLI.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>EXHOSOMES AND VESICLES:<\/strong> <strong>Favor presentation of antigens.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>EXTRACELLULAR MATRIX:<\/strong> Overexpression of two genes involved in synthesis of hyaluronan, which is <strong>basic for intestinal homeostasis and leukocyte recruitment<\/strong> when infection occurs.<\/li>\n<li><strong>IMMUNE RESPONSE:<\/strong> Enhanced expression of genes related to formation of receptors of cytokines and defensins of the BPI family.<\/li>\n<li><strong>METABOLISM:<\/strong> Increased expression of genes involved in the <strong>synthesis of enzymes<\/strong> chitinases and glucosidases which collaborate in <strong>transport and metabolism of lipids and amino acids.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Conclusions<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-align: left;\"><b>Intestinal<\/b><\/span><strong>\u00a0conditioner pronutrients improve intestinal physiology<\/strong>, as it has been observed by the study of gene expression in an enterocytes culture:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><strong> Increase absorption of nutrients and integrity of the mucosa<\/strong> (digestive barrier).<\/li>\n<li>Favor the renewal of epithelium, <strong>avoiding adhesion of pathogenic microorganisms<\/strong> to the mucosa.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">All these facts are shown as <strong>greater use of nutrients of the diet<\/strong> and a <strong>decrease in appearance of\u00a0<\/strong><b>diarrhoea<\/b>, which means an improvement in general condition of the animal and productive parameters.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This intestinal conditioner has been developed by Biovet S.A. and it is marketed under the name\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/biovet-alquermes.com\/en\/producto\/alquernat-nebsui-p-and-l\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Alquernat Nebsui<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Effect of intestinal conditioner pronutrients on expression of genes related to intestinal mucosa status was evaluated on an in vitro culture of enterocytes.
