Immunobooster pronutrients<\/strong><\/a> are active molecules from plant extracts that promote the physiological functioning of the immune system<\/strong>. When these pronutrients are administered with vaccination, they increase its efficacy and, therefore, the protection against specific diseases.<\/p>\n

Target<\/h5>\n

The target of this experiment was to improve the efficacy of the vaccine against hemorrhagic enteritis (adenovirus) in turkey with immunostimulant pronutrients.<\/p>\n

Materials and methods<\/h5>\n

Animals in this trial were male turkeys (B.U.T. 6). Antibody titers were analyzed the day prior, 21 and 63 days after vaccination against hemorrhagic enteritis.<\/p>\n

Batches (268 turkeys\/batch):<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Pronutrients: vaccinated animals that receive immunostimulant pronutrients in drinking water (1 ml\/l) the 5 days prior and the 5 days after vaccination against hemorrhagic enteritis<\/li>\n
  2. Control: vaccinated animals that do not receive any immunostimulant<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Interpretation of results<\/h5>\n

    The batch with pronutrients starts with lower titers than the control but shows a greater increase of these titers after vaccination, which end up higher than the control.<\/p>\n

    Conclusions<\/h5>\n

    Immunostimulant pronutrients<\/strong> improve vaccination efficacy against necrotic enteritis (adenovirus) in turkeys, which is observed by a greater increase of antibody titers after vaccination<\/strong> (+706,8%), compared to the control.<\/p>\n

    This means that vaccine animals that receive these pronutrients will be more protected against this disease.<\/p>\n
