The International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) will take place in Atlanta, USA, on February 12th<\/sup> \u2013 14th<\/sup>. The annual event is considered to be the most concurred amongst poultry and animal nutrition industries.<\/p>\n

Biovet will attend to the annual meeting with the particularity that its intestinal conditioner pronutrient<\/a> <\/strong>for better nutrient absorption \u2013 Alquernat Nebsui \u2013 has been object of the conference scheduled on Monday the 11th at 7:45am at room B314, as part of IPPE\u2019s Educational Program.<\/p>\n

Intestinal conditioner pronutrients: more productivity due to better intestinal efficiency<\/strong><\/h5>\n

The conference is scheduled on Monday February the 11th. It will be presented by Prof. Pratima Adhikari and her student Milan Kuma Sharma, from the Department of Poultry Science at Mississippi State University, with the collaboration of Biovet\u2019 s Managing Director Mr. Carlos Dom\u00e8nech.<\/p>\n

The trial carried out by the US university was aimed to determine the effects of feeding pronutrient Alquernat Nebsui L <\/strong>in terms of hen day egg production (HDEP), egg quality and small intestine histomorphology.<\/p>\n

Methodology and results obtained after feeding Biovet\u2019s intestinal conditioner <\/strong><\/h5>\n

A total of 90 laying hens were randomly divided into two groups of 45, respectively. One of the groups was fed with Alquernat Nebsui dissolved in drinking water during 9 weeks. According to data obtained by Prof. Adhikari and her student, average HDEP percentage significantly increased<\/strong> in the group fed with Biovet pronutrients during 6 of the 9-week test.<\/p>\n

Regarding egg quality, an increased yolk coloration<\/strong> was observed in the group fed with the product. A better condition of the digestive mucosa allowed a better assimilation of the pigments present in the diet.<\/p>\n

Data obtained after a small intestine histomorphology of the sampled hens showed that those fed with Alquernat Nebsui presented wider duodenum villi, compared to the control group. Therefore, the use of pronutrients allowed better nutrient absorption<\/strong> amongst the former group due to its optimized intestinal condition.<\/p>\n
