From October 3-5, 2018 Chetumal (Quintana Roo) hosted the 5th National Tilapia Forum in Mexico in which Pharmablend, distributor of Biovet in Mexico<\/strong>, took part.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This congress brought together producers, suppliers and authorities from all over the country who came to the event organized to promote the aquaculture activity in Mexico.<\/p>\n

The evaluation of the congress is entirely positive and the articles that aroused most interest were Alquernat Yucca and Alquernat Nebsui<\/strong>, products destined for use with tilapia and whose trials have demonstrated their effectiveness.<\/p>\n

Specifically, Alquernat Yucca is a natural deodorant and preservative that reduces the production of ammonia. Administered in feed for aquaculture allows to improve water quality, particularly in ponds with high densities and problems due to high concentrations of ammonia.<\/p>\n

The trials with Alquernat Yucca with tilapias have shown that it has a positive impact on weight gain and the conversion rate in ponds with the problems mentioned before, becuase it achieves to improve the production above that of ponds with lower breeding densities.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, Alquernat Nebsui is a product based on intestinal conditioner pronutrients<\/strong> which promotes the regeneration of enterocytes, improves the absorption of nutrients and can replace growth promoters\u2019 antibiotics.<\/p>\n

The trials of Alquernat Nebsui with tilapia have shown that the product improves the growth rate and the uniformity of sizes in fingerlings, thanks to its positive impact on the digestive physiology, which allows a better use of the diet and a better prevention of digestive pathologies .<\/p>\n
