Absorption is estimated from AFM1 (aflatoxin M1) concentration in milk.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>TRIAL DESIGN<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-7583\" src=\"https:\/\/biovet-alquermes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Silicoglycidol-dairy-cattle-Veterinaria-Digital-1-300x51.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"169\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Holstein cows with 2 or more lactations and more than 200 days in milk were used for the trial.<\/li>\n<li>Cows were introduced to the feeding system at least 7 days prior to initiation of the study until adaptation was confirmed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>METHODOLOGY<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>4 cows were randomly assigned to each treatment within square.<\/li>\n<li>Cows were housed in one pen with free stalls and individual feeding gates.<\/li>\n<li>Milking was performed 3 times a day (4:00, 12:00, 20:00 h).<\/li>\n<li>Cows were fed\u00a0<em>ad libitum.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>RESULTS\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-7563\" src=\"https:\/\/biovet-alquermes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Vacas-lecheras-captador-micotoxinas-Silicoglicidol_Veterinaria-Digital-1-300x224.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"224\" \/><br \/>\nAs shown in the chart, AF concentration in milk was 27% less in cows fed with mycotoxin binder, which means that this binder with Silicoglycidol was useful even with high mycotoxin concentration in feed.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The aim of this trial, conducted at Iowa State University (EE.UU), was to evaluate the reduction in aflatoxin absorption upon feeding with Alquerfeed Antitox, to prevent absorption by binding AF in the digestive tract.
