The\u00a0II International Poultry Workshop<\/strong>\u00a0took place on November 25th and 26th in Lima. The sessions were attended by Veterinary and Zootechnics students and professionals from the poultry industry that were interested in broadening their knowledge about the sector. The event was organized by the Veterinary Sciences Faculty of the\u00a0Universidad Cient\u00edfica del Sur (UCSUR)<\/strong>\u00a0and Biovet S.A., and was sponsored by Adivet, Alquermes of Mexico and Veterinaria Digital.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

This second edition focused on\u00a0pharmacology<\/strong>\u00a0and included conferences about poultry pharmacology, anatomophysiological factors in birds, difference between drugs and\u00a0pronutrients<\/strong>and Latin-American regulations for drugs. Just as in the last edition, the event ended with a speech about\u00a0dichotomous diagnostic clues<\/strong>\u00a0and a necropsies session, where the students could put into practice the recently acquired knowledge.<\/p>\n

This workshop is the outcome of the agreement signed on 2016 between the UCSUR and Biovet, to collaborate in scientific research and teaching related to animal nutrition. The third edition of the Workshop will take place on 2018. Thanks to the agreement, 4 degree thesis were given in 2017 in the experimental farm, which was specially built for the agreement. The aim of all the studies is to evaluate the improvements of intestinal health thanks to adding pronutrients in feed.<\/p>\n
