To evaluate the efficacy of these pronutrients, they were administered to a group of birds and their effect on the productive parameters was observedand compared to those of a control group\u00a0<b><strong>(without pronutrients).<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Material and methods:<\/p>\n<p>The trial was conducted in a farm in Antioquia, Colombia, located at a height of 2,400 meters above sea level and with an average temperature of 16\u00baC.<\/p>\n<p>The hens, of the Hy Line Brown breed, were divided into two different groups:<\/p>\n<p>\u00d8\u00a0\u00a0<b><strong>Control group<\/strong><\/b>: 10,198 chickens with their normal diet.<\/p>\n<p>\u00d8\u00a0\u00a0<b><strong>Pronutrients group<\/strong><\/b>: 10,200 chickens that were fed their normal diet supplemented with intestinal optimizer pronutrients in doses of 0.5 kg per ton of feed, from week 19<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0to 22<sup>nd<\/sup>\u00a0and throughout the productive stage.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/biovet-alquermes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/WEEKSpronutrientsColombia-2.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 200;\">Evaluated parameters:<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 200;\">The following productive parameters were evaluated:<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 200;\">v\u00a0\u00a0% Mortality<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 200;\">v\u00a0\u00a0Average weight<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 200;\">v\u00a0\u00a0% Production: rate egg\/hen\/year<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 200;\">Results<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 200;\"><b><strong>Mortality<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/biovet-alquermes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/MortalityEssaycolombia.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Mortality is decreased in the group treated with intestinal optimizer pronutrients comapred to the control, this decrease is seen from week 23<sup>rd<\/sup>\u00a0to week 49<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 200;\"><b><strong>Average weight<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/biovet-alquermes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/WeightColombiatrial.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 200;\">There is also an improvement in the average weight of the hens treated with pronutrients compared to the control,\u00a0from week 23<sup>rd<\/sup>\u00a0to week 49<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 200;\"><b><strong>% Production<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/biovet-alquermes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Production.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 200;\">An increase in the production rate was observed in the group treated with pronutrients, starting from a 0.8% increase from week 23<sup>rd<\/sup>\u00a0to a 3.9% increase after week 49<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/biovet-alquermes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/HHEP.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 200;\">The graph shows the results of production in terms of Hen-Housed Egg Production (H.H.E.P): there also is an improvement in the group treated with pronutrients compared to the control group in weeks 40<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0and 49<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0of life.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 200;\"><b><strong>Conclusions at the end of the trial<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 200;\">\u00fc\u00a0\u00a0No lesions compatible with coccidia were found in thegroup treated with intestinal optimizer pronutrients,while the control group suffered from\u00a0<b><strong>coccidiosis at week 21<sup>st<\/sup><\/strong><\/b>\u00a0and received a treatment withToltrazuril (high cost)<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 200;\">\u00fc\u00a0\u00a0<b><strong>Mortality<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0of the group treated with pronutrients was lower than in the control group\u00a0<b><strong>(- 44.2% at the end of the trial)<\/strong><\/b>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 200;\">\u00fc\u00a0\u00a0<b><strong>Average weight<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0of the hens of the group treated with pronutrients was 42 grams higher than the control group, which corresponds to a\u00a0<b><strong>2% increase.<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 200;\">\u00fc\u00a0\u00a0The\u00a0<b><strong>production percentage<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0of the batch treated with intestinal optimizer pronutrients was\u00a0<b><strong>3.9% higher<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0than the control group, and with a\u00a0<b><strong>difference of + 3.6 eggs per housed hen<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0(H.H.E.P) (Expected H.H.E.P: 192.3).<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 200;\"><b><strong>This product based on intestinal optimizer pronutrients is commercially available under the name &#8220;Alquernat
