DESCRIPTION
Antipyrine (phenazone) in oral and injectable solution.
TECHNICAL PROPERTIES
Antipyrine is a pyrazolic derivative with non-esteroidal antithermic, analgesic and anti-inflammatory action.
It inhibits the synthesis of prostaglandins in the thermoregulator hypothalamic centers. Absorption of antipyrine by intramuscular injection or oral route is quick and complete. It will diffuse in the blood linked to plasma proteins. It is excreted through the urine. Antipyrine has fewer side-effects than other non-esteroidal anti-inflammatories.
SPECIES & INDICATIONS
Indicated for poultry, pigs, sheep, goats and cattle with the following indications:
- Fever and inflammations of infectious origin. Here antipyrine presents some advantages over corticosteroids as antipyrine does not have proinfectious action. Steroidal anti-inflammatories decrease the activity of leukocytes subsequently decreasing the immune response and thus "helping" infections to proliferate.
- Arthritis, tendinitis, bursitis, contusions and local inflammations.

TECHNICAL PROPERTIES
AMTEVET PLUS is a synergetic combination of ampicillin, erythromycin, polymyxin, bromexine and vitamin C with the following effects:
Belonging to the group of beta-lactam antibiotics, ampicillin is able to penetrate Gram-positive and some Gram-negative bacteria: Salmonella, Shigella, Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Corynebacterium, Clostridium, E. coli, Klebsiella, Proteus, Pasteurella and Haemophillus. It inhibits the bacterial cell wall synthesis, which ultimately leads to cell lysis.
Erythromycin is a macrolid antibiotic that is quickly absorbed orally and diffused in tissues and blood fluids. Is it eliminated through the kidney and bile. Its action is linked to the protein synthesis and it is active against Staphylococcus, Mycoplasma, Streptococcus, Corynebacterium and Clostridium.
Polymyxin, on the other hand, is a bactericide active specially against Salmonella, Pseudomona, Shigella, Streptomycin, Haemophillus and Aerobacter by oral route. The effect of polymyxin is synergetic with penicillins.
Bromexine is a mucolytic agent that decreases the viscosity of mucous secretions by fragmentation of mucopolysaccharides reducing the disulphur bonds.
Guaiacol is an organic volatile expectorant is eliminated at bronchial level and that helps to eliminate the mucus.

ALQUERPLUS SINDIAR
DESCRIPTION
Preservative of silage in oral solution.
TECHNICAL PROPERTIES
Citric acid is an acidifier of intestinal tract. Due to its bactericidal properties it is used as a feed preservative. Hydrochloride acid is a natural component of the gastric juice. It is well known as a preservative.
Furthermore, ALQUERPLUS SINDIAR contains a synergistic mix of organic acid salts (ammonium propionate and formate) with inhibitory effect on the metabolisms of molds and bacteria, decreasing their internal pH so that enzymatic activity is affected, with the final result the death of the microorganism.
For all the above mentioned, ALQUERPLUS SINDIAR possesses preservative properties in feed and controlling the non acid intestinal flora and the molds that cause damages to feed and bacterial and fungal enteritis.
INDICATIONS AND SPECIES

DESCRIPTION
Antioxidant in powder premix or in oral solution.
TECHNICAL PROPERTIES
ALQUERFEED ANTIOX is an antioxidant composed of two different groups of antioxidants:
Ethoxyquin and B.H.T. are real antioxidants that block the chain-reactions that occur during oxidation.
Citric acid is a secondary antioxidant, synergistic with ethoxyquin and BHT, due to its ability to bind the metal ions that catalyze the oxidation reactions.
ALQUERFEED ANTIOX preserves the fats and liposoluble vitamins during the fabrication and storage of the feed, the absorption in the intestinal tract and the metabolism of the nutrients. The aspect and palatability of the feed is maintained.

Lately the market of corn used for animal feed has been experiencing a strong increase in prices due to the use of this corn for the production of ethanol as a complementary fuel. This has produced an increase in the demand of corn and a subsequent increase of the prices. Alternative raw materials have to be sought as an energy source in animal nutrition.
To compensate for the presence of the Anti-Nutritional Factors (ANF) in those alternative raw materials, it is essential to add enzymes. Mycotoxin binder in powder premix.
TECHNICAL PROPERTIES
Silicates are chemical compounds with an structure capable to retain the three-dimensional structure of mycotoxins, preventing them from being absorbed in the digestive tract. Upon contact with the mycotoxins, they form hydrogen bonds with mycotoxins. Mycotoxins bonded to silicates pass through the intestinal tract of the animals without causing lesions in the intestinal walls (enteritis) and without being absorbed (mycotoxicosis). ALQUERFEED ANTITOX is composed of silicates that act as mycotoxin binders. Calcium, aluminum and sodium ions are inserted in the structure of the silicate, increasing its capacity to bind mycotoxins as they provide the suitable distances between the oxygen molecules to form the hydrogen bonds.

ALQUERFEED ANTITOX PLUS is composed of silicoglycidol (special silicate developed by BIOVET), probiotic microorganisms that replace the natural flora and B group vitamins.
Silicoglycidol has a three-dimensional structure able to retain mycotoxins, preventing them from being absorbed in the digestive tract.

TECHNICAL PROPERTIES
The aluminum-sodium-calcium-formate-propionate silicate of ALQUERFEED BINMOLD is a molecule developed by Biovet S.A. and whose procedure of fabrication has been patented in Spain. The molecule possesses a double mycotoxin binding and preservative effect thanks to its laminar three-dimensional structure which gives the molecule a great capacity to absorb mycotoxins. The formate and propionate present in the structure act as preservative due to its capacity to disorganize the bacterial and fungal cells.
As a preservative, acts basically on Gram-negative bacterias, yeasts and fungi, like Salmonella spp., Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Clostridium spp., Aspergillus spp., Penicillium spp., Fusarium spp.

ALQUERFEED MOLDFIGHTER is an association of organic acids with an inhibitory activity of the metabolism of molds and bacteria that can be found in feed.
The inhibitory action takes place inside the micro organism through a decrease of the internal pH damaging enzymatic activity continuously with a result of the inhibition of glycolysis and bacterial growth.

TECHNICAL PROPERTIES
AMOXIVET is a synergic association between two antibiotics, namely a beta-lactamic and a quinolone.
Amoxicillin is a penicillin active against Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria: Streptococcus spp., penicillin-susceptible Streptococcus pneumoniae, Staphylococcus spp., Enterococcus faecalis, Haemophilus influenzae, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Neisseria meningitidis, Escherichia coli, Proteus mirabilis and Salmonella spp.
Nalidixic acid is a first generation quinolone, specially used for the most pathologically important Gram negative bacteria: coliforms, Salmonella and Pasteurella.. It operates by inhibiting the DNA polymerase which inhibits DNA replication. After oral administration it is quickly and completely absorbed. After injection, plasma peaks are achieved 6 hours after administration. It is eliminated through the urine.

TECHNICAL PROPERTIES
Physiologically, the enzymatic digestive system of the piglet is immature until the sixth week of life: the secretion of lactase rapidly dimishes from the second week after birth, while the secretion of lipase, amylase, pepsine and trypsine only start to develop after the fifth week of life.
Furthermore, the stess produced by the weaning interrupts the enzymatic maturing of the piglet. This means that the first weeks of life the sources of carbohydrates and proteins used should be highly digestable and the formulation of the diet should be adapted to the physiological necessities of the piglet and complemented with the necessary enzymes. Optimal growth and good sanitary conditions at this stage will be reflected in a higher productivity at a later stage.
The elevated nutritive value of the soy bean is due to its composition of aminoacids in its protein, but its complete nutritive value can only be obtained after eliminating the Anti-Nutritional Factors (ANF) present. To adapt soy to fit piglet feed requirements, derivatives are commonly used which have been submitted to different treatments like for example. toasting, extraction, UHT or alcaline/acid treatment. The objective of these treatments is to reduce almost completely the presence of the most common Anti-Nutritional Factors such as the inhibitors of porteases, lectines, phytates, antigens, oligosaccharide, etc.
However, eventhough soy has been treated, piglets are not able to digest completely the derivatives of the soy due to their immature digestive system. Therefore, it is necessary to add an enzymatic premix to feed which complements the physiological deficiency of amylase,, lipase and portease. The result is a higher utilization of the feed and a prevention of digestive disorders, produced by the undigested proteins in the intestine, which favours the proliferation of pathogenic bacteria such as Escherichia coli and other anaerobic of the genus Clostridium.
Furthermore, the protease present in the formulation (subtilisine) has a proteolytic action on the residual antigens of the derivatives of soy and improve the digestibility of the protein aggregates and the carbohydrate-protein complexes that are formed during the heating of the soy.
It is recommended to complement the action of Alquerzim Lechones Soja with an acidifying product, Alquerfeed Acidificante, to counter the marked deficit in the production of hydrochloric acid in the first weeks of life of the piglet.

Colistin, metronidazole and spiramycin injectable suspension.
TECHNICAL PROPERTIES
Colistin belongs to the polymyxins group, used parenterally against infections caused by Aerobacter, E.coli, Haemophillus, Salmonella, Shigella, Peudomona, Pasteurella, vibrio, and paracolon bacteria. It is quickly absorbed after its injection, altering the permeability of the cellular wall. It is eliminated through the kidneys.
Metronidazole is a derivative of nitroimidazole and has antiprotozooary and antibacterial activity, specially for anaerobic flora.
Spiramycin is a macrolide whose intramuscular absorption is slow and it is also weakly fixed in plasma proteins. Its half life time in blood is 14 hours and it has a high fixation in tissues. MASTIYET POWDER is a synergistic association of polymixin, neomycin and spiramycin in premix powder.
TECHNICAL PROPERTIES
The association of polymyxin, neomycin and spiramycin possesses a very wide action spectrum as Polymyxin is active with Gram-negative bacteria, Spyramycin with Gram-positive bacteria and Neomycin with aerobic Gram-negative bacteria.
Polymyxin B is a polypeptidic antibiotic primarily used for resistant gram negative infections. Polymyxins bind to the cell membrane and alters its structure making it more permeable. The resulting water uptake leads to cell death. Specially useful in the fight against Salmonella, Pseudomona, E. coli, Shigella, Proteus, Pasteurella, Klebsiella, Bordetella and Enterobacter.
Spiramycin, a well-established macrolide, has such a structure and is also active against most common respiratory tract pathogens. It has been proven to have good penetration into respiratory tract tissues and fluids.
Similar to other aminoglycosides, neomycin has excellent activity against Gram negative bacteria, and has partial activity against Gram positive bacteria. It interferes with protein synthesis in sensitive bacterial cells such as species of Proteus and Staphylococcus and is not absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract, being used to treat intestinal infections.

DESCRIPTION ESTREPTOS is an antibiotic association of erythromycin and streptomycin injectable and oral extemporaneous solution. TECHNICAL PROPERTIES
ESTREPTOS is an antibiotic association with a high effectiveness against respiratory diseases with a mycoplasmic base, complicated by external germs (Streptococcus, Pasteurella, E. coli and Moraxella and others).
Erythromycin is a macrolid antibiotic that is quickly absorbed orally (the maximum plasma concentrations are reached one hour after administration) and it is diffused in tissues and blood fluids. As with all macrolides it is removed for more than 60% through the enterohepatic cicle (kidney and bile). It inhibits the protein synthesis by binding in the 50S subunit of the bacterial ribosome and therefore blocking the growing peptide chain. Erythromycin is active against Gram positive bacteria such as Staphylococcus, Mycoplasma, Streptococcus, Corynebacterium and Clostridium.
Streptomycin is an antibiotic belonging to the oligosaccharides group and stops bacterial growth by damaging cell membranes and inhibiting protein synthesis. Specifically, it binds to the 16S rRNA of the bacterial ribosome, which prevents the release of the growing protein. Its spectrum is basically Gram negative bacteria, especially Pasteurella, Shigella, coliforms and Pseudomona. Some Gram positive germs are also sensitive; like Corynebacterium, Streptococcus and Staphylococcus.

TECHNICAL PROPERTIES
Erythromycin is a macrolid antibiotic that is quickly absorbed orally (the maximum plasma concentrations are reached one hour after administration) and it is diffused in tissues and blood fluids. As with all macrolides, it is removed for more than 60% through the enterohepatic cycle (kidney and bile).
It inhibits protein synthesis by binding in the 50S subunit of the bacterial ribosome, blocking the exit of the growing peptide chain (so it is a bacteriostactic). It is active against Gram positive bacteria such as Staphylococcus, Mycoplasma, Streptococcus, Corynebacterium and Clostridium.
INDICATIONS AND SPECIES
Intended for poultry in diseases caused by sensitive micro-organisms, especially for the treatment of: mycoplasmosis, onphalitis, arthritis and C.R.D.

DOXIMICINA PLUS
DESCRIPTION
Doxycycline, erythromycin, bromexine, guaiacol, phenazone in injectable and oral solution.
TECHNICAL PROPERTIES
DOXIMICINA PLUS is a synergistic association that contains symptomatic products to improve the general health status of the animal.
Doxycycline is a semi-synthetic liposoluble tetracycline that is absorbed for 80-90% and that persists for a long time in the organism due to its strong fixation to plasma proteins. Doxycycline like other tetracyclines, may form a stable calcium complex in any bone-forming tissue, though in vitro it binds calcium less strongly than other tetracyclines so it is appropiate to administer it to young animals. It has a wide antibacterial action spectrum: Salmonella, E. coli, Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Lysteria, Clamidias, Corynebacterium, Clostridium, Pasteurella, Actinobacillus, Mycoplasmas and Haemophillus. It is also active against some protozoa like Giardia.
Erythromycin is a macrolid antibiotic that is quickly absorbed orally and it diffuses in tissues and blood fluids. It is eliminated through kidney and bilis. It interferes with the protein synthesis and it is active against Staphylococcus, Mycoplasma, Streptococcus, Corynebacterium and Clostridium.
Bromexine is a mucolitic agent that decreases the viscosity of mucous secretions by fragmentation of mucopolysaccharides reducing the disulphur bonds.
Guaiacol is an organic volatile expectorant that is eliminated at bronchial level and that helps to eliminate the mucus.
Phenazone is a pyrazolic derivative with non-steroidal antithermic, analgesic and anti-inflammatory action. Its has a good absorption rate and its tissular diffusion takes place mainly in extracellular spaces. It is removed by renal, biliary and salivary route. It acts inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins in the thermoregulator hypothalamic centres.

- Poultry: colibacilosis, mycoplasmosis, C.R.D., staphyloccocia and pasteurellosis. (Only intramuscular injection).

PENVET L.A.
DESCRIPTION
Combined penicillins prepared as injectable suspension with long lasting action.
TECHNICAL PROPERTIES
Penicillins block the synthesis of the bacterial cell wall and have a half-life of approximately three hours. Therefore, one injection is needed every three hours, in order to maintain a effective antibiotic concentration. To avoid this inconvenience penicillins are prepared as long lasting action penicillins like the ones present in PENVET: penicillin benzatine and penicillin procain.
Tripelenamine is an antihistaminic that avoids anaphylactic shocks caused by hypersensitivity to penicillins.
Dihydrostreptomycin is an antibiotic belonging to the aminoglycosides group and has bacteriostatic action, not only on the multiplication stage but also on germs in dormancy. It disturbs the reading of messenger RNA at ribosome level, causing as a result the formation of abnormal proteins. Its action spectrum is basically against Gram negative bacteria, specially Pasteurella, Shigella, coliforms and Pseudomona. Some Gram positive germs are also sensitive, like for example Corynebacterium, Streptococcus and Staphylococcus.
The solution is resuspended well due to an accurate compounding.

TECHNICAL PROPERTIES
PIROPLASMIN FORTE is an association of acriflavine (antipiroplasmic) and antipyrine (symptomatic).
Acriflavine is an equimolecular mix of chloromethylane and 33-6 diaminoacridine chlorhydrate. It has antibacterial activity for Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria, even when organic material and pus are present. It is also recommended as local antiseptic for wounds, burns and metritis. It has antiprotozoary activity for pyroplasms. After intravenous administration, it is removed through the urine and milk.
Antipyrine is an antipyretic that eliminates the febrile symptoms of piroplasmosis.

TECHNICAL PROPERTIES
Iodine acts against moulds, viruses and bacteria affecting their amino acids, having both a bactericide as well as a fungicide effect. However, the use of metallic iodine has some side effects such as irritation and corrosion. Therefore, iodine complexes are formed, that take advantage of the antiseptic properties of iodine, without the negative side-effects.
Lanolin is a substance with emulsifying and anti-irritative properties, that acts as a lubricant at the same time and increases the diffusion of iodine through the affected skin area.

TECHNICAL PROPERTIES

TECHNICAL PROPERTIES
The association of sulphamides, erythromycin and trimethoprim is widely known because of the synergism that exists between them. This association possesses a wide action spectrum for accompanying germs of mycoplasmosis: Staphylococcus, Streptococcus and Pasteurella. It possesses a good organic diffusion.
Erythromycin is a macrolid antibiotic that is quickly absorbed orally (maximum plasma concentrations are achieved one hour after administration) and it is diffused in tissues and blood fluids. Like all macrolides it is removed for more than 60% via the enterohepatic circulation (kidney and bilis). It has a bacteriostatic mechanism, operating on the level of the proteic synthesis. It is active for Gram positive bacteria such as Staphylococcus, Mycoplasma, Streptococcus, Corynebacterium and Clostridium. In high concentrations (unlike other macrolides) it can act as a bactericide.
Sulphamethoxypyridacine is a sulphamide with a good absorption and distribution, achieving high pulmonary concentrations.

TECHNICAL PROPERTIES
Gangrenous mastitis is disease caused by Staphylococcus pyogenes (aureus). Corynebacterium pyogenes is the causative agent of parenchymous mastitis in sheep and goat and of pyogenous mastitis in cattle.
Both germs were isolated in more than 90 % of the glands affected by mastitis.

TECHNICAL PROPERTIES
Newcastle disease is caused by a paramyxoviruses with several strains that differ in virulence. It causes high mortality and decreases in lay. The prophylaxis is done with vaccines composed of alive apathogenic virus or of inactivated viruses.
The inactivated vaccines are used to create antibodies for long periods in layers and breeders. This is why other germs that are important in farms can be added such as Pasteurella and Salmonella (cause diseases of vertical transmission).

TECHNICAL PROPERTIES
MAMIVET is an intramammary ointment with a broad antibiotic spectrum thanks to the triple association of antibiotics, enzymes and anti-inflammatories.
Sodium G penicillin is a natural origin antibiotic of the family of betalactamics, that basically affects Gram positive bacteria.
Streptomycin is an antibiotic belonging to the oligosaccharides group. It inhibits bacterial growth by damaging cell membranes and inhibiting protein synthesis. Specifically, it binds to the 16S subunit of the bacterial ribosome, which prevents the release of the growing protein. Its affects basically Gram negative bacteria, especially Pasteurella, Shigella, coliforms and Pseudomona. Some Gram positive germs are also sensitive; like Corynebacterium, Streptococcus and Staphylococcus.
Neomycin is an broad spectrum antibiotic active with Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria. It is both a bactericide and a bacteriostatic. It is not absorbed with external use, acting locally.
Trypsin has enzymatic action on necrosed tissues and clots, improving diffusion of the active principles.
Finally, prednisolone, has a local anti-inflammatory effect.

MAMISAN
DESCRIPTION
Intramammary ointment designed to treat mastitis during the dry period.
TECHNICAL PROPERTIES
The drying process is necessary in order to prepare the female for the upcoming labour, and also it allows the mammary gland to rest. This regeneration period can be used to eliminate the focuses of germs that could grow in the milk rests.
The components of MAMISAN are divided in two groups depending on the action that they undertake:
A)Antibiotics: erythromycin, framycetin and cloxacillin
Cloxacillin is specially used against infections of staphyloccocic origin. Framycetin is an aminoside antibiotic, specially useful in the treatment of infections caused by E. coli, Citrobacter and Corynebacterium. Erythromycin is a macrolid antibiotic that is quickly absorbed and it is diffused in tissues and blood fluids. Albendazole is an endo-antiparasitic of the bencimidazoles group, that blocks parasitic glucose uptake by interrupting microtubular function. TECHNICAL PROPERTIES
The aluminum-sodium-calcium-formate-propionate silicate of ALQUERFEED BINMOLD is a molecule developed by Biovet S.A. and whose procedure of fabrication has been patented in Spain. The molecule possesses a double mycotoxin binding and preservative effect thanks to its laminar three-dimensional structure which gives the molecule a great capacity to absorb mycotoxins. The formate and propionate present in the structure act as preservative due to its capacity to disorganize the bacterial and fungal cells.
As a preservative, acts basically on Gram-negative bacterias, yeasts and fungi, like Salmonella spp., Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Clostridium spp., Aspergillus spp., Penicillium spp., Fusarium spp.

Antipyrine (phenazone), bromexine and guaiacol in oral and injectable solution.
TECHNICAL PROPERTIES
Antipyrine is a pyrazolic derivative with non-steroidal antithermic, analgesic and anti-inflammatory action. Its absorption is good and its tissular diffusion takes place mainly in the extracellular spaces. It is eliminated through bile, urine and saliva. It inhibits the synthesis of prostaglandins in thermoregulator hypothalamic centers.
Bromexine is a mucolytic agent that decreases the viscosity of mucous secretions by fragmentation of mucopolysaccharides reducing the disulphur bonds.
Guaiacol is an organic volatile expectorant is eliminated at bronchial level and that helps to eliminate the mucus.

- Inflammations and fever of infectious origin. Here antipyrine presents some advantages over corticosteroids, as antipyrine does not have proinfectious action. Dexamethasone in injectable solution.
TECHNICAL PROPERTIES
Dexamethasone is an artificial corticosteroid derived from hydrocortisone. It is well absorbed and diffused and it is removed in urine. It decreases the vascular and cellular reactions that are part of the inflammatory processes, modifying the lymphocyte function.
It increases the glyconeogenesis, proteiN catabolism, lipid synthesis and the sodium and water retention. Dexamethasone acts mainly at two levels: the tissular and the metabolic level.
At tissular level it operates as an anti-inflammatory by inhibiting A2 phospholipase, which frees araquidonic acid from the membrane lipids. Basically it decreases the vascular and cellular reactions of processes derived from an inflammation. It also acts as an immunosupressor.
At metabolic level it stimulates the neoglycogenesis, activates the catabolism of proteins, increases lipid biosynthesis, retains sodium and frees potassium.
